· This mortar and pestle set is crafted from high-quality cast iron, selected for its exceptional durability, weight and friction properties. The iron is finished with a food-safe, seasoned black matte coating that provides a natural non-stick surface and improves with use over time.

· The mortar features a deep, generously proportioned bowl with a wide, stable base and a slightly flared rim that prevents ingredients from escaping during grinding. The interior is finished with a subtle, textured surface that provides excellent grip for the pestle, ensuring efficient crushing and grinding of spices, herbs and garlic.

· The pestle is ergonomically shaped with a comfortable, bulbous handle that fits naturally in the palm, tapering to a rounded grinding end that matches the contour of the mortar bowl. The substantial weight of the cast iron provides balanced leverage, reducing effort during extended grinding sessions.
