Vaelthorne™ Hand-Thrown Stoneware Butter Crock with Wooden Lid
· This butter crock is crafted from durable stoneware clay, individually wheel-thrown by skilled ceramic artisans. The exterior is finished in a warm, matte terracotta-inspired glaze with subtle natural variations, while the interior features a food-safe glossy glaze that resists staining and odors.
· The crock is designed to store butter directly on the countertop, keeping it soft and spreadable for everyday use. The generous interior capacity of approximately 200ml holds one standard American stick of butter (4oz / 113g) comfortably, with enough clearance for easy access.
· A fitted wooden lid is turned from solid American black walnut, providing a clean, finished appearance while protecting butter from kitchen dust and light exposure. The lid features a subtle recessed finger grip on its top surface for easy lifting.
· The crock features a wide mouth opening that accommodates standard butter knives for easy scooping. The broad, stable base prevents tipping during use, while the compact footprint of approximately 10cm in diameter and 9cm in height makes the crock suitable for countertop use, breakfast tables and dining service.
· The warm terracotta glaze and clean silhouette coordinate with a range of American kitchen styles, from modern farmhouse to contemporary minimalist. The crock is equally suitable for everyday breakfast use and formal table settings.
· Care instructions are simple and practical: hand-wash with mild soap and warm water; the wooden lid should be wiped clean with a damp cloth and dried immediately, and may be conditioned occasionally with food-safe mineral oil to maintain its luster. The crock is not intended for dishwasher use.
· Each Vaelthorne™ butter crock arrives in a natural linen drawstring storage bag, accompanied by a small tin of branded food-safe conditioning oil for the wood lid and a care guide with simple maintenance instructions.
